My wife wanted some Lupins, so scribbled her up a few to hang on the wall.

Peggy's Cove
A view of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.
My first 'fuck it' effort, trying to let go of that over critical inner voice and just 'do.'
Contemplation
Whilst contemplating recently the particular nature of the mental and creative blocks that hold me back, it occurred to me that the problem may be a simplistic oversight that seems to affect others with a creative disposition. This being the tendency to overthink, to indulge overmuch in that self-sustained self-criticism that results in a potentially spectacular concept remaining as a barely etched scribble within the pages of my ever increasing pile of sketchbooks and journals.
To combat this rather annoying quirk in my personality I've decided to say 'fuck it' and stop scrutinizing my work to an impossible standard that only helps to hinder my progress in an artistic capacity. To celebrate such a shift in my approach I shall start posting my 'fuck it' efforts since it appears that people do actually seem to like them.
It will be interesting to see how this develops as I apply myself without a care to the end result.
So let's say it again for good measure yes, 'fuck it.'
